Natasha Perez is a doctoral student in the CITE program at MSU. Her current research interests are: a) adolescent literacy and vocabulary development and b) exploring the intersection of language, culture, and identity in the language environments of second and third generation students in and out of school, and what this implies about literacy development for these students, and for teachers in their schools.
